Jeff Christopher Jeff, his wife Karen, and their children Katie (18), Emily (17), and Nathan (14) have lived in Cottage Grove and attended Door Creek Church since 1992. He works as the Director of Information Systems at a Life Sciences company in Fitchburg. He has been involved in various church leadership roles as well as in the youth and children's ministries. Jeff served on the Stewardship Board from 2002 to 2006 and was the Chairman from 2003 to 2005. He also participated on the Senior Pastor Search Team that brought Marc to DCC. Matt Desmond Tessa and Matt have been members of Door Creek Church since 2003.
While serving on the board the last three years, Matt has been part of the Vision- and Multiethnicity-Initiative Teams. As a member of the Community Outreach triad, he has helped mobilize the resources of the church to reach out to homeless families, prisoners, students attending low-income schools, and hungry people in Madison and its surrounding communities. He has worked with the Habitat for Humanity and played (poorly) in the church basketball league. Currently a doctoral student of sociology and Ford Foundation Fellow at the University of Wisconsin, Matt studies race relations, urban poverty, and housing policy.

Jill Jones Jill and her husband Larry have been attending Door Creek Church since 1992. They have two daughters, Stephanie and Claire.
Jill’s been involved with small groups, has been a leader for Greenhouse and a leader/mentor for MOPS. She also served on the Senior Pastor Search Team. She works as an Instructional Resource Teacher for Madison School District. Jill has a heart for Madison, especially evangelism and discipleship for Madison’s isthmus. She enjoys running, sewing, and reading.

Sarah Gibson Sarah and her husband, Don, have attended Door Creek Church since 2002. Both have been involved in a variety of Door Creek ministries. Outside of Door Creek, Sarah owns a training and consulting firm, which she started in 2004. She has used her training experiences to teach various team and leadership sessions for the church. In addition, Sarah has served in home groups, MOPS and God’s Garden.
They have two young children, Grace and Kyle. Although the family keeps a busy schedule, they like to entertain folks on their boat and look to see how God can use casual atmospheres to build relationships.

Brian Gabrielse Brian has lived in Madison since 1980. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Jen, for 27 years. They have 3 children; Stephanie, Jeffrey and Kimberly. Stephanie and Jeffrey were both married this summer. Brian worked as a partner at a local construction firm for 25 years until his retirement in 2006. Over the years, Brian has served appointments on various boards and associations within the Christian community here in Dane County.
Brian loves outdoor activities such as skiing, hunting, boating, and biking, as well as working on cars and mechanical things. Brian and his wife, Jen, have a passion for hospitality, as well as the encouragement of others.
Since coming to Door Creek in the summer of 2006 Brian has been involved with the Men’s Fraternity group, Boomerangs, and Home Groups. A highlight for Brian was a mission trip to Guatemala. Brian and his wife have been members of Door Creek Church for 3 years.

Greg Peterson Greg and his wife, Sue, have attended Door Creek Church for the past 13 years. They have 2 children and 6 grandchildren and have lived in the Marshall area for the past 37 years. Greg is CEO and Principal of Insurance Strategies, Inc. which does risk management and consulting to 400 banks in the Midwest and also cost reduction for universities and government entities nationwide. Greg and Sue are Scuba Instructors and Greg flies for Seven Hills Skydiving Club as a Commercial Pilot.
Greg has served on the Stewardship Board for the past 5 years and served in various other capacities at Door Creek, including Vice-Chair of the Stewardship Board, Treasurer for 2 years, Deacon for 2 years, Triad Leader of Couples Espresso and lights technician for worship services. Greg has a heart for missions and recently served in New Orleans and Guatemala in addition to numerous other short term mission calls.

Brian Rust Brian and his wife, Jacque, have been members of Door Creek (Buckeye) since 1994. They live in McFarland. They have two daughters, Adrienne is at the UW-Madison and Katrina teaches English at a college in China. Brian has served on the board, led and coordinated small groups, helped with AWANA, and taught in adult ministries. He and his family have been blessed in amazing ways through the church, and he believes firmly that the church is the most effective way to grow and have a positive influence on a very troubled world.
Beyond church, you can find Brian at Luke House most Wednesdays, sharing a community lunch. He also helps with the McFarland Family Festival and Optimists Club. In the summer, Brian pretends to play tennis in a local league, and trombone in the community band. Brian is a communications director at the Division of Information Technology at the UW-Madison.

Lisa Stearns Lisa and her husband Scott live in Cottage Grove with their 3 children, Will, Mallory and Sarah. They have been attending Door Creek (Buckeye) Church since they moved to the Madison area in 1993.
As a member of Door Creek Church, Lisa has held various leadership roles in Awana, Children's Ministries, MOPS, Greenhouse, and currently is directing the Alpha program. In 2001 she felt God leading her to open a coffee shop on the east side that would be a safe place for believers as well as nonbelievers to gather. Cool Beans Coffee Café opened in July of 2001 and she still loves to serve those who come through their doors.
Her passion is outreach and wants everyone to have the opportunity to experience the joy, hope and peace a relationship with Christ can bring.
