New Board member

Matt Desmond, Door Creek Church Stewardship Board member for the past four years, is stepping down and being replaced by Darren Boyer. Matt is completing a Ph.D in Sociology from the UW-Madison and is moving in June to Massachusetts with his wife Tessa and son Sterling. He will be taking a faculty position at Harvard.
In accordance with Door Creek bylaws, the Board has selected Darren to complete Matt’s three-year term. Darren and and his wife Kristi have led small groups, worked with the Journey Ministry, helped with children's ministry, worked with Heartstings ministry and CAC. They have been members since 2004. Their children are Hannah, Hope and Will.
Matt and Tessa will be greatly missed for their friendship, faithfulness and service in such ministries as Heartstrings and the Outreach Triad. Pray for them as they begin a new chapter in their lives. Pray too for guidance for Darren and the Board.
