Helping Hands
"If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
1 Peter 4:11

WHEN YOU NEED A HELPING HAND
In a time of need, it’s often hard to manage the business of everyday living. If you are facing such a time, the Helping Hands ministry of Door Creek Church is here to lend a hand. Sometimes help with a few tasks, whether they are simple or complex, can make a big difference in your time of need.
Volunteers perform a wide variety of non-technical tasks for those in our church body who are either temporarily or permanently physically unable to perform them.
Helping Hands is intended to be used on a one-time or short-term basis for an individual, and is not intended to be a substitute for the hiring of a licensed professional when the need requires specific skills.
Thanks for your willingness to change lives with His love that will change the world as you extend Christ’s mercy to those in need.
Where can I turn when I need a helping hand?
YOUR HELPING HANDS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
By joining the Helping Hands list, you can be part of a growing network of care for the people of Door Creek Church.
When you sign up, you can indicate the type of help you can provide and the frequency with which you would be able to provide it. Your help doesn’t have to take a long time, and there is great joy in helping someone who needs help the most. Oftentimes, it’s the simplest of tasks that mean the most to a person who is needing help.
Just a few of the areas where Helping Hands can help a person in need includes:
- Meals Ministry
- Childcare
- Housework
- Refreshments for funeral receptions
- Laundry
- Lawn care
- Transportation
- Odd jobs around the house
Once on the Helping Hands list, you will only be contacted when there is a need that matches the area of help you are able to provide. The Helping Hands Coordinator will contact you, explain the need and timeframe, and ask if you would be available to help at a given time.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
