What is Celebrate Recovery about?
Celebrate Recovery is for anyone struggling with hurts, habits and hang ups. The purpose of CR is to encourage connecting with others and celebrating God's healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery. The main focus of the curriculum is the 8 principles, which are based on the Beatitudes and the 12 steps and their biblical comparison.
Lives are changed as we share our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition we become willing to accept God's grace and forgiveness in solving our life's problems. By working through the principals we are freed from our hurts, habits and hang ups. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which allows us to build stronger and healthier relationships with others.
Over 700,000 people have gone through the Celebrate Recovery program in more than 17,000 churches worldwide since Celebrate Recovery started in 1991 at Saddleback Church in CA.
