If you are visiting Door Creek Church for the first time or have visited us several times, we are glad you came to "check us out." Our desire is to make your visit as comfortable and positive as possible and not throw you any surprises. We would love to personally meet you on your first visit, so be sure to stop by our Information Desk when you arrive. You will receive helpful information about our church and get more of your questions answered. We have tried to anticipate some of the questions you might have before you come to Door Creek for the first time. You will find the answers to those questions listed below. If you have additional questions, contact the church office at 222-8586 and we will be happy to answer them. When should I arrive? The first time you visit plan to arrive 15 minutes early (20 if you have children). This will give you time to park, drop off the kids if you desire, stop by our Information Center and find a comfortable place to sit in our Auditorium. Services are at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. on Sunday in our 700 seat Auditorium. All services are identical in worship format and message. Childcare is provided from birth to Grade five. Read more about Children's Ministries here. Where should I park? Good News! There are designated parking spaces reserved just for you, our guest! These spaces are located near the front doors. Signs or a friendly parking lot attendant will direct you.
What should I wear? Be yourself! If you are more comfortable meeting God in blue jeans or shorts, feel free to wear them. If a suit and tie help you to worship God, then please wear that. We are much more interested in you connecting with God and us, then we are in what you wear. Am I expected to give when the offering plate goes by? No! The offering is a form of worship for our regular attenders. We hope that on your first visit to Door Creek you will be receiving from us not the other way around. Will I have to wear a name tag or be recognized as a guest at your service? No way! We want you to be relaxed and comfortable in our services and you will never be singled out. What is Door Creek Church in Five? Immediately following each service there will be someone standing to one side of the Auditorium under the Welcome Banner. Guests are welcome to stop and talk for a few minutes, get questions answered and receive a free gift bag.
Can I get some refreshments? You are welcome to bring coffee, soft drinks and water into the service. Coffee, specialty drinks and sweet rolls are available at a small or no cost in our Activity Center on Sunday mornings.
What about your Services? Worship services are a time for us to come together, meet our God and learn about him. We do this through biblically based contemporary music, media, drama and message. Read more about worship at Door Creek here. What kind of message can I expect? Each message is meant for us to better understand the Bible and our relationship to God in a way that is relevant to our everyday life. The messages are available for you to listen to on our website, or you may purchase a copy on CD at our Resource Desk for $2.00. Listen to a message.
