Craftsmen for Christ
This practical arm of Men's Ministry often coordinates with the church's Compassion Ministry to provide the needed skills and manpower to help those of the church family with special needs. Craftsmen for Christ may also be called upon to serve the broader community through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Your practical skills of cleaning, painting, landscaping, carpentry or mechanics may be just what a deserving church or community family needs. If you are interested in serving by using your God-given talents, please contact Wade Steuck at (608) 839-8223 or at wade@wadealan.com. Basketball Thursday nights are full of fun, running and fellowship. You will be out of breath with adrenaline and excitement. Come on out and get in the game. Join us in the Door Creek Church activity center on Thursday evenings from 7:00--9:00 p.m. for open gym, some hoops and fellowship. Contact Kris Isenberger at (608) 222-8244 or email at krisnene@yahoo.com for more information. More
Men's Fraternity meets Thursday mornings from 6-7:30 a.m. A testostrone-friendly environment where men gather around tables for breakfast, large group presentation and table discussion of each week's manhood related topic. It's a great way to connect with other men while examining the issues all men face.
Since there is no advance preparation required for the meetings, those who are unable to make a weekly commitment can view missed topics on the Men's Fraternity website and attend as their schedule permits. Hangin' with the Guys It may actually be a day, night or even a weekend out with the guys. Throughout the year look for announcements about getting time with other guys to play golf, cheer on the Brewers, Mallards or Badgers, fish or just hang out. Whatever the activity, you can be sure of good fun, good food and good fellowship!
Men's Small Groups Significant spiritual growth doesn't just happen. We need the encouragement and accountability of other men to be the men God desires and our families deserve. If you want to dig deeper in your understanding and application of the Bible we want to encourage you to explore one of our small group offerings.
Men of Change Is a great starting point into personal Bible study with a limited time commitment. This 10- week study will challenge you to apply your faith to your home, work and world.
Monday Night LIVE Monday Night LIVE (MNL) meets weekly on Monday nights from 7-8:30pm. This year we are studying Disciplsship Essentials by Greg Ogden. This twenty four week study will go take men through the basics of growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ. This study will require 1-2 hours of preparation each week but will also serve you with a firm foundation for your entire Christian life. Enjoy the study, fellowship, discussion and still get home in enough time to enjoy the game!
Accountability Groups These are typically smaller groups of men who gather regularly to study or discuss a variety of topics with the intent and permission of encouraging each other to live a life of devotion and purity to God. They ask each other the hard questions in order to be real before their families, God and others.
If you are interested in exploring any one of our small group options, contact Pete Gunkel at (608) 244-0121. |
