Our Day of Serving the Community
What a beautiful day we had on Saturday, May 22nd to live out our value of Compassionate Service!  Over 500 Door Creek members took to the streets of our communities to work at over 40 sites planting, raking, pruning, weeding, painting, sorting, building, playing games, assembling, cleaning, organizing and just spending time with people who needed a friend.  We were joined by even more people from Lakeview EFC, Bethany EFC and Nueva Vida EFC in a joint effort to be a living demonstration of God’s love for the people of Dane County.  If you were part of the Serve10 team, thank you for making this day a success.  If you couldn’t join us this year we hope to see you next year as we continue to seek ways to impact our community with God’s love.  Here are a few words of appreciation from our project site coordinators:

Thank you and the rest of your group for the tremendous job you did at the nature center on Saturday!  Despite the muggy, hot weather, you accomplished much and we greatly appreciate your help!  Thank you again!  Sincerely, Alanna M. Medearis, Development  Aldo Leopold Nature Center

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who came last weekend to beautify the garden areas around our building.  Yesterday morning I drove up and went, “WOW”!  It looks wonderful here and your efforts are so appreciated.  Many of our seniors were avid gardeners in their prime and will enjoy what you have done.  Thanks again.
