Zimbabwe, Africa Mission Trip

Group: Sprecher Road Campus, Global Outreach, North Campus

Zimbabwe: Women at risk, children and ESL (English as a second language) outreach. This is an exploratory / service missions trip, serving and ministering through long time Door Creek missionaries David and Sue Rousseau.

Dates TBD- End of July: 2 weeks with a third week option
Cost: $3200 (If God is calling you to go we ask that you step out in faith and trust him to provide. We will talk with you about raising funds, and participating in some group fundraisers.)

  • Vacation Bible School Team – To help put on a VBS program at an orphanage.
  • Computer training team –To give basic computer training including basic web design training and word processing. This team would work with students at a local Bible college and also with older kids at a regional orphanage.
  • Sewing team: work with older girls at orphanage teaching sewing.
  • Construction team - Carpenters, painters, brick layers, and electricians to serve at local hospital and orphanage.
  • Orphanage care Minister to children by helping them with homework, playing with them, and building relationships. 
  • HIV / AIDS Education – Teaching AIDS prevention.
  • ESL Teachers Reach out to the needs of the Zimbabwean community by teaching English to students at Harare Theological College.

For you to be considered for this trip, you must complete a Global Outreach Mission trip application and Global Outreach Reference Form with a $100 deposit.  You can drop it off or mail it to Door Creek Church, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison, WI  53718 by March 1st, 2012.  The deposit will be applied to the cost of the trip.  From there Global Outreach ministry will contact you regarding your acceptance and explain your next steps. Then we will talk with you about obtaining passports and visas, raising support and all the other necessary things for you to have an amazing trip.
